EXPRESS LINE CORPORATIONMandarin Bilingual - Air and Ocean Import PURPOSE The Air and Ocean Import Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire import process for goods arriving by both ocean and air freight, including coordinating shipment details, tracking cargo movement, handling customs clearance, and ensuring timely delivery to the designated destination, while maintaining communication with overseas partners, agents, and clients throughout the logistics chain PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Receive and process import orders, including details on cargo type, quantity, and delivery schedule. Coordinate with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders to arrange pick-up and shipping schedules. Book ocean or air freight space with carriers based on shipment requirements. Monitor shipment progress through tracking systems and provide updates to clients. · Arrange for inland transportation, such as trucking or rail, from port of entry to final delivery location. · Coordinate with warehouse facilities for storage and delivery scheduling. · Monitor and resolve any potential delays or disruptions in the import process. Maintain regular communication with clients, suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers regarding shipment status and any updates. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the import process. Obtain and compare freight quotes from different carriers to secure the best rates. Track and manage import costs, including freight charges, customs duties, and related fees. Other duties may be assigned by management due to business change or business need. SKILLS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB Technical · Windows Operating System · MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access) Business · Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. (Preferred) · Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in logistics/freight forwarding industry, preferred · Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
