This role involves managing relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers to ensure a high level of service and customer satisfaction. The position also requires knowledge and understanding of the specialized requirements associated with pharmaceutical shipments, including appropriate handling, documentation, regulatory requirements, and transportation considerations applicable to pharmaceutical and other temperature-sensitive products. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the ocean export process, including preparation of shipping documents, customs clearance, and booking with shipping lines. Oversee and coordinate pharmaceutical shipments, ensuring appropriate handling, documentation, transportation requirements, and adherence to applicable regulatory and customer requirements. Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical and temperature-sensitive cargo requirements to support the safe, compliant, and timely movement of shipments. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure efficient delivery. Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and third-party service providers. Address and resolve customer inquiries promptly to maintain satisfaction and trust. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs regulations and trade laws. Ensure compliance with applicable requirements for pharmaceutical exports, including product handling, documentation, temperature-control, and transportation requirements. Stay updated on changes in ocean freight regulations and export controls. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality. Identify and execute process improvements to reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including cargo delivery times, costs, and service quality. Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises a team of ocean export coordinators and support staff. Educational background / Work experience Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
