Position Summary Under the direction of the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, the Maintenance/Reliability Inventory Intern provides part-time support to the Maintenance Administrator with maintenance inventory, spare-parts documentation, data accuracy, reporting, and storeroom organization. This position performs routine inventory and documentation activities that allow the Maintenance Administrator to remain focused on CMMS administration, maintenance reporting, work-process support, audit requirements, and other departmental responsibilities. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist the Maintenance Administrator with maintenance inventory and related documentation. Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts of maintenance materials and spare parts. Verify inventory information and report discrepancies. Identify, label, and organize parts, materials, shelving, bins, and inventory locations. Enter and update inventory information within maintenance systems and spreadsheets. Maintain accurate spareparts records and supporting inventory documentation. Assist with identifying and documenting critical spare parts. Track and update information related to longleadtime parts and materials. Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets, inventory reports, count sheets, and related documentation. Assist with inventory audits, record verification, reconciliation, and datacleanup activities. Scan, file, and organize maintenance inventory records and supporting documentation. Maintain clean, organized, and clearly identified maintenance storerooms and inventory areas. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to obtain information necessary to accurately identify and document parts. Communicate inventory discrepancies, missing information, and organizational needs to the appropriate personnel. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices while working in maintenance, storeroom, and industrial areas. Perform other inventory and administrative support duties as assigned. Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors. Knowledge and Work Experience: Current enrollment in an accredited college, university, community college, or technical program. Pursuit of a degree or certificate in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Technology, Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications. Interest in maintenance operations, reliability, inventory management, supply chain, or industrial processes. Previous inventory, warehouse, maintenance, administrative, or industrial experience preferred but not required. Experience entering, reviewing, or maintaining data and records preferred. Skills and Competencies: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately enter, review, and maintain inventory information. Ability to identify discrepancies and communicate findings. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to learn inventory processes, maintenance terminology, and applicable systems. Basic analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach. Ability to move throughout maintenance shops, storerooms, warehouses, and industrial work areas. Ability to perform physical inventory counts and verify materials stored on shelves and in bins. Occasionally required to lift and carry parts, supplies, or materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
