KyybaTitle: Maintenance Planner – Operations // Maintenance Planner Location: Ankeny, IA - 50023 Duration: 24 Months Contract (possible extension) 1st Shift: 7 AM to 3:30 PM, OT hours will be possible (either during regular shift or weekend work) Work Details: Onsite only (no remote), business casual dress code. Interview preference: Teams. Will need metatarsal safety boots for first day. This is a shop floor position so candidates must be comfortable in this environment. ~80% time spent on feet within the factory. Other Notes: Fully onsite; candidate must be comfortable with factory environment and occasional intra-facility travel. Regarding Driving: This position may drive a owned Gator inside the factory to get from the office area to a different office area in another part of the factory (all connected and indoors). Worker will need to successfully complete safety training to be approved to drive this. They will transport their computer or parts/tools. Other workers could ride along if they are going to the same areas due to limited number of available Gators. This would not be driven outside. May also drive their personal vehicle to other facilities within a 20 mile radius. Rental cars are not used for this travel. Description: As a Maintenance Planner at Des Moines Works located in Des Moines, IA, you will provide critical planning, scheduling, and work management support for manufacturing operations by partnering with maintenance, production, engineering, and skilled trades teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance. This role is responsible for managing the maintenance work management process, including ingestion, case management, work order creation, planning, scheduling, dispatching, and closure activities. You will maintain the integrity of maintenance data within the CMMS system, ensuring accurate documentation. The position also supports spare parts management activities, including new inventory creation along with support activities for current stock. Additionally, you will support maintenance procurement activities through parts sourcing, purchase requisition creation, purchase order tracking, vendor coordination, and material readiness for planned work. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while supporting maintenance execution, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. What Skills You Need: Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and work management processes within a manufacturing environment. Experience managing work orders, dispatching maintenance activities, and coordinating maintenance resources. Strong understanding of maintenance systems and data management, including equipment records, preventive maintenance plans, task lists, and asset hierarchies. Experience supporting spare parts inventory management, material planning, and storeroom operations. Ability to create and manage purchase requisitions, support purchase order processes, and coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across production, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and storeroom teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and execute work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What Makes You Stand Out: Experience using SAP Maintenance, CMMS, EAM, or other maintenance work management systems.
