Purpose: We are looking for a highly organized individual who enjoys keeping inventory accurate and ensuring maintenance technicians have the right parts at the right time. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, understands maintenance spare parts, is comfortable using inventory software, and communicates effectively with Maintenance, Purchasing, and vendors. They take ownership of inventory accuracy, work with urgency, and contribute to minimizing equipment downtime.. Primary Responsibilities: Act as the inventory control point; receive items coming into the maintenance shop and issue items going out Champion 5S practices in the maintenance work area Create and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for maintenance parts and supplies Closing open PO for spare parts and Services Maintain accurate inventory records using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy Timely submission of invoices using Concur portal Other duties as assigned Education and Qualifications: Postsecondary certificate or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related technical field. Experience using SAP for purchase order creation and goods receipts, and Fiix or another CMMS for inventory management preffered Strong inventory control skills, including receiving, issuing, replenishment, and cycle counting of maintenance parts and consumables. Ability to accurately maintain parts records, labels, storage locations, and transaction details. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and data entry. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize requests and support urgent maintenance needs. Effective communication with Maintenance, Procurement, suppliers, and other departments. Attention to detail when verifying part numbers, quantities, purchase orders, and delivery documents. Ability to follow health and safety, food safety, and housekeeping procedures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Preferred skills and abilities Familiarity with industrial maintenance components, including bearings, motors, pumps, electrical parts, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Understanding of minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder points, and critical spare parts. Experience obtaining supplier quotations, following up on orders, and resolving delivery discrepancies. Knowledge of 5S practices and parts room organization. Ability to identify obsolete stock, duplicate parts, and opportunities to improve inventory accuracy.
