Machine Operator / Shipping Team Member Pay: $50,000 Annual Salary (with bonus opportunities) Great Lakes Fastening – 2810 Hoitt Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917 Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30–4:30, with occasional Saturdays depending on demand (5–6 a year) Great Lakes Fastening is looking for a hardworking, hands-on Machine Operator / Shipping Team Member to join our team. No computer skills needed. We’ll train you on our equipment and processes. We’re a family owned and operated business in Knoxville, TN. We manufacture and distribute specialty fasteners, staples, and tools that surpass industry standards, along with custom solutions for the fastener industry. Machine Operator Responsibilities: Set up, run, and monitor production machines to make specialty fasteners Load raw materials and change over machines between products Check finished parts for quality and pull anything that doesn’t meet standards Perform basic machine cleaning and upkeep, and report issues to management Count, box, and label finished product for inventory or shipment Keep your work area safe, clean, and organized Shipping & Warehouse Responsibilities: Pick, pack, and prepare daily orders (small package and LTL freight) Load and unload trucks Receive incoming inventory the same day it arrives Follow FIFO (first in, first out) when putting away and shipping inventory Help with daily cycle counts and mid-year and year-end inventory Inspect and repair customer tools Operate a forklift Keep the warehouse clean and orderly at all times Back up the quality department when needed What We’re Looking For: Orders shipped on time, every day Tool repairs completed within 72 hours on in-stock parts Accurate counts and careful handling of inventory Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods Valid driver’s license (driving the company truck may be required) Forklift experience a plus, but we’ll train the right person Why choose us?
