Responsibilities Safely load, unload, and move lumber and building materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with safety protocols. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately using RF scanners and manual order picking techniques. Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts to load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Manage inventory by receiving shipments, verifying quantities against shipping documents, and organizing stock within the yard for easy access. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stacking lumber properly on pallets or racks, ensuring safety and accessibility. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by documenting inbound and outbound materials, ensuring proper labeling and recordkeeping. Follow all safety procedures diligently, including manual handling protocols and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Experience Previous warehouse experience or experience working in a lumber yard or construction materials environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling tools safely. Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners for order picking and stock control. Knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving procedures, load & unload processes, and safety standards (OSHA compliance). Experience supervising or coordinating warehouse activities is a plus but not required. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, or order accuracy. Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting tasks in a fast-paced environment. Join us to be part of a team committed to excellence!
