Lumber Yard Associate and Delivery Driver
Olds RonaOverview We are seeking a dedicated Lumber Associate and Class 3 Driver to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and order picking, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. The delivery truck is a new International and requires a Class 3 Drivers License. This role involves handling lumber and related materials, operating various types of machinery, and supporting shipping and receiving functions. Candidates with warehouse management system knowledge and construction experience are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Load and unload lumber and building materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery Deliver lumber orders and pick up materials. Operate warehouse equipment safely, including order pickers, forklifts, and clamp trucks Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for shipment or delivery Assist with shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods Maintain organization of lumber inventory within the warehouse using warehouse management systems Perform heavy lifting tasks to move materials safely around the warehouse Support construction-related activities as needed, including load & unload operations Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow and productivity Experience Previous experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse management systems is preferred Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or other industrial machinery is highly desirable Knowledge of construction materials and processes is a plus Experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse setting is beneficial Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is advantageous Prior work involving order picking and load & unload tasks in a warehouse environment is preferred This role requires physical strength for heavy lifting, attention to safety standards, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment efficiently. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment that demands teamwork and precision.
