Here’s what you can expect: 72% of line haul revenue paid for each seated tractor Up to 5% of the line haul rate when you use your own trailer Bi-weekly settlements with detailed earnings and deductions Insurance coverage through MTC, including general liability, public liability, property damage, cargo, and bobtail Named as an Additional Insured on applicable MTC policies Discounted diesel at Love’s Travel Stops with a Midstream-issued fuel card Fuel paid weekly on your behalf, so you’re not paying out of pocket between settlements Operate under Midstream Transportation’s DOT number and operating authority Job Summary Midstream Transportation, a Meritum Energy Holdings company, is seeking multiple Owner Operators to transport and deliver propane and refined fuels throughout southern Louisiana. Owner Operators will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering product to our residential and commercial customers. Orientation is held on your first day in Baytown, TX, but routes will be based in southern Louisiana. To be considered, Owner Operators must have an up-to-date cab card, apportioned plates and a Hydrapak. Duties/Responsibilities: Complies with all city, state, and federal regulations Loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane to residential and commercial locations Provides a high level of service to customers Performs pre and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials Maintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulations Maintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety Ensures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor Applies a thorough understanding of the technical concepts, practices and procedures and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to testing and transporting bulk petroleum products to pipeline injection points Performs other related duties as assigned The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position. Skills/Abilities: Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. Ability to maintain accurate logs and records Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record Ability to obtain the required certifications for LP delivery through the TXRRC within 30 - 90 days of employment Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Class A CDL license with hazmat/tanker endorsements required Propane certification (highly preferred, but not required) Ability to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 2 years 3+ years tractor and trailer experience in propane and/or fuel distribution business (preferred) 1+ years tanker experience within the last 5 years (preferred) Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to…
