Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and reliable Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL A Class Driver to join our dynamic team! This role involves operating dry van and refrigerated (reefer) trailers across long-distance routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. As a key player in our logistics network, you will handle various types of cargo, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, and general freight, adhering strictly to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across OTR routes, including dry van and reefer loads. Load and unload freight efficiently while following proper cargo handling procedures for logistics cargo handling. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and ensure timely deliveries. Transport refrigerated goods (reefer trailers) while maintaining temperature controls and product integrity. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when handling dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Document delivery details accurately, including load & unload records, delivery receipts, and logs in accordance with DOT regulations. Maintain professional driving standards during route driving, including adherence to speed limits and safety protocols. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in over-the-road (OTR) trucking routes involving freight delivery across long distances. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers (reefers), flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers preferred. Experience with truck loading and unloading procedures for various types of freight. Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual handling tasks safely. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, route planning using GPS navigation systems, and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
