Long Haul Truck Driver

Overview As a Long Haul B-train Truck Driver, you will transport our roll off bins from Burnaby, BC to Drayton Valley, AB, 2 times per week. You hold a Class 1 Drivers License and have several years of safe driving experience driving to and from Alberta. Responsibilities Operate a commercial vehicle on planned long-distance routes and follow applicable road and safety procedures. Maintain required Logs. Inspect the vehicle before and during trips, report concerns, and arrange appropriate maintenance. Secure freight, monitor loads, and complete accurate delivery and trip records. Drive and prepare vehicle for various road conditions including installation of tire chains. Communicate route progress, delays, and delivery status to dispatch. Skills Required: Practical commercial driving capability, sound judgment on the road, attention to vehicle condition, and clear communication support safe freight transport and reliable trip records. Preferred: Experience handling freight, heavy equipment operation, or basic truck repair can help with loading coordination, equipment awareness, and routine vehicle maintenance.
