Responsibilities
• Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Transport freight efficiently from origin to destination while maintaining delivery schedules
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring secure handling of cargo
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance reports
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues during transit
• Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
• Follow company safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record
Requirements
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Experience in commercial driving, particularly long-haul routes
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for heavy equipment operation
• Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery for loading and unloading freight (certification preferred)
• Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance paperwork
• Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and operate heavy equipment as required
• Willingness to work flexible hours including extended periods away from home as needed
• Prior experience with heavy equipment operation
RequirementsMandatory Qualifications
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
• Minimum 2 years of long-haul driving experience
• Clean driving record and strong safety history
• Ability to cross the Canada–US border
• Strong understanding of Hours of Service regulations
• Excellent driving and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Must be able to communicate in French
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating throughout Canada and the United States
• Experience with Flatbed, Step Deck trailers and RGN'S
• English communication skills are required

65 - 70 cents a mile, 85 - 95 cents for Over dimensional freight depending on experience.
