Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances to deliver freight efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Transport freight across regional or national destinations, ensuring timely deliveries Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking for mechanical issues or safety concerns Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation in compliance with company policies Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during transit Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts for loading/unloading freight when required Skills Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record Experience in freight transportation and long-haul driving preferred Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards in trucking operations Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently over extended periods Excellent communication skills for coordination with dispatchers and clients This role is integral to our logistics operations, requiring a professional driver committed to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
