Logistics Supervisor Warehouse

Description: FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking an experienced Logistics Warehouse Supervisor. Job Description Review and assign daily work to employees and make changes when necessary or as schedules change to meet objectives Ensure accurate and timely shipments to our customers and order fulfillment Train and develop employees to perform job duties according to company procedures and policies for safety and accuracy Develop mid- to short-term plans in addressing business goals and issues Gather and analyze information to identify root causes in resolving business needs Communicate effectively, support team development, and maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement Engage in problem solving and process improvement Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures to meet objectives in safety, quality, and efficiencies Support lean manufacturing and efficiency initiatives Quickly address operational challenges while maintaining a productive work environment Complete necessary paperwork, such as incident reports and time-off requests Other Job Functions Comply with FIC’s Safety policies and procedures Comply with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards Perform 5-S activities Requirements: 4+ years of supervisory experience within shipping/warehouse operations Strong understanding of planning, shipping, warehouse management, and inventory systems Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional fluency in English Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and coach/develop employees Strong technical and computer skills Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Must possess problem solving and critical thinking skills Must be willing to cross-train Sit-down forklift and pallet jack experience is required Bilingual English/Spanish is desired but not required Must be able to work company’s required overtime HS Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Knowledge of Lean or TPS practices is preferred Start time range is 4am - 6am and based on business needs; determined by the manager Pay Range $60,000 - $80,000 year, based on qualifications and experience Benefits Offered Medical plans offered through Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Delta Dental, and VSP Vision Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Healthcare FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and Transit FSA 401(k) – Company will match 50% of the first 6% you contribute to your 401(k) Basic Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability paid by employer Optional Supplemental Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability (Employee Paid) Vacation, Holiday, and Personal Days Paid About FIC America Corp.
