We are seeking a Logistics Specialist III to support the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) by providing space management, property inventory, and logistical coordination services. In this role, the Logistics Specialist III will plan and oversee internal moves, manage excess property disposition, coordinate on-site document destruction, and support a wide range of facility and logistics functions across CSOSA locations in the Washington, DC metro area. 


Work Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (DMV). Candidates outside of the DMV area will not be considered. 

 

General Duties: 

  • Move Planning & Execution: Plan, initiate, execute, and oversee moves within and between CSOSA facilities; maintain detailed records and logs of all moves and workspace modifications; assist with cost estimates and budget tracking for moving services. 
  • Procurement Documentation for Logistics Services: Prepare work orders, statements of work, and other procurement documents to obtain materials, skilled labor, equipment, and funding to support logistical requirements such as shredding, moving, and storage services. 
  • Contractor Performance Monitoring: Work with the CSOSA Office of Facilities to monitor contractor performance for logistic services; inspect work performed by contractors; review and verify invoices for logistic services including moving, storage, and shredding. 
  • Property & Storage Management: Maintain records and logs of property in storage including location, costs, and access; research new storage space locations as needed; support scheduling and cost estimation for storage and moving activities. 
  • Physical Inventory & Disposition Support: Assist with physical inventories of CSOSA equipment; support the identification and disposition of excess CSOSA property in accordance with applicable regulations. 
  • General Logistical Support: Provide general administrative and logistical support to the CSOSA Office of Facilities as requested, including coordination of on-site document destruction activities. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED ; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, facilities management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing logistical support services, with federal agency experience preferred. 
  • Logistics Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of experience in logistical services. Resume must identify the specific logistic services performed, specific duties, and dates performed. 
  • Federal Property & Facilities Knowledge (Preferred): Prior experience providing logistical support to a federal agency or similar government environment is strongly preferred. 
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and use of personal computers for records management and reporting. 
  • Physical Requirements: Position requires walking for extended periods at multiple CSOSA locations with multiple floors. Periodic bending and lifting of items up to 50 lbs is occasionally . 
  • Organizational & Coordination Skills: Strong ability to coordinate multiple concurrent logistics activities, maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and work effectively with contractors and agency staff.
