Werkshop's mission is to build a collection of great furniture and appliances for student and rental tenants, on trend, student-resistant, environmentally conscious and unique. About the Role We are looking for an experienced, highly organized and proactive Logistics Operations Manager to take ownership of the Canadian-side logistics and operational coordination of our projects. This is an operations-forward role. You will own the physical movement of product, from overseas factory to port, through customs, into warehouses and the Granby plant, and out to active construction sites on a sequence that matches the build. Purchasing support sits alongside that as a secondary responsibility, and quality verification on arrival is yours. The role will initially support the College & Wiggins project in Saskatoon, but is intended to become an ongoing position supporting future projects across Canada. It connects our International Product Development team with the Granby plant, warehouses, suppliers, freight partners and the Goodwerk construction team, and works across the Werkshop office in Montreal, the Avac Béton plant in Granby, third-party warehouses and active construction sites. The ideal candidate is experienced, independent and comfortable managing many moving parts at once. Key Responsibilities International Freight & Customs Own the movement of product from overseas suppliers through to arrival in Canada, working with freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers. Coordinate booking, consolidation, documentation and customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HS classification support and duty and tariff documentation. Track containers and expected arrival dates, and proactively flag delays, demurrage exposure or clearance risks before they affect the schedule. Maintain a live view of what is in production, in transit, in clearance and landed, and communicate it to the project and production teams. Resolve freight claims, shortages and in-transit damage with carriers and forwarders. Receiving & Incoming Quality Control Own quality control when product arrives in Canada, including quantity verification, condition and damage inspection, and documentation. Inspect incoming product against purchase orders, packing lists, approved specifications and project requirements. Photograph and document damage, shortages or incorrect product, and maintain accurate receiving and QC records. Coordinate claims, replacements and corrective action with suppliers and the International Product Development Manager. Escalate quality holds where product does not meet specification, rather than releasing marginal material to meet a delivery date. Delivery Sequencing to Site Build and maintain the delivery sequence for each project so that material arrives in the order the site can receive and install it. Align delivery schedules with the construction schedule, crane and hoist availability, and site storage capacity. Adjust sequences as construction conditions change, and communicate revised dates to suppliers, warehouses and installers.
