Logistics Officer
Lancaster EMSJob Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the researching, purchasing and coordination of all medical supplies, office/housekeeping supplies, durable medical equipment, and the routine equipment and medical device maintenance and repair. Your expertise will drive process improvements, optimize inventory control, maintain regulatory compliance, and enhance vendor and customer relationships. The ideal candidate is energized by problem-solving, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional logistics solutions that support our organizational goals. Duties Manage inventory control including materials handling, stocking, shipping & receiving, and inventory management of all pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies and durable medical equipment Responsible for the safety, maintenance, and repair/replacement of durable medical equipment and devices Assists with equipment specific orientation related to newly integrated pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and personal protective/safety equipment Ensures adequate inventor levels at substations and depots Responsible for inventorying, securing, issuing, selling, and reconciling all Company-issued apparel and equipment Schedules and coordinates preventive maintenance and unscheduled maintenance on all medical equipment and devices Maintains detailed equipment and supply logs, maintenance records, and equipment documentation Consistently delivers exceptional customer service, engages professionally with vendors, and frequently coordinates vendor product demonstrations Experience Minimum of 1 year of prehospital clinical experience (e.g. EMT) Demonstrated ability in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and negotiation with suppliers across diverse categories. Proven experience using data analytic software, inventory control software, and Microsoft Excel Hands-on experience with warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, freight coordination, inventory stocking, and materials handling. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair minor equipment malfunction (e.g. replacing a broken seatbelt) Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration within supply chain teams and external vendors.
