Logistics Manager Sargent has an immediate opening for a Logistics Manager. Summary: Manage all logistics functions to meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements. Supervise all assigned personnel and transactions including shipping/ receiving, kit pulls, cycle counts, inventory audits, and reverse logistics. Implement continuous improvement activities to improve material availability and inventory accuracy. Roles and Responsibilities: Manage daily operation of shipping, receiving, and the Hydraulics Stockroom. Organize and assign work, and supervise to assist employees in the performance of work to maximize efficiency and profitability. Interact daily with Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure proper prioritization of departmental resources to meet customer and business needs Use prior experience and benchmarking to periodically review and revise current departmental functions. Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend measures to improve methods, develop standard work, and ensure compliance with procedures, as well as safety rules and regulations. Develop and maintain transportation system for domestic and international freight. Responsible for tracking and recommend ordering warehouse supplies based upon forecasted demands. Maintain oversight to identify and prevent problems and provide direction for problem resolution. Own the daily cycle count and reconciliation of variances; Create, manage, and achieve logistics department budget. Ensure company is in compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials. Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or 5 years of logistics/distribution experience as a manager or supervisor.
