Copperweld is seeking a reliable Kitter to support production by accurately gathering, organizing, and staging materials for manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to keep operations running efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and hands-on, with the ability to follow instructions, manage inventory, and collaborate with team members across departments.


WHAT we need you to do.

• Gather and stage materials, components, and parts according to production orders 
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications to ensure accuracy 
• Maintain organization of kitting areas and ensure materials are properly labeled and stored 
• Support inventory accuracy by reporting discrepancies or shortages 
• Assist with receiving and stocking materials as needed 
• Use basic computer systems for tracking materials and updating inventory 
• Safely operate forklifts or other material handling equipment (if required) 
• Communicate effectively with production, shipping, and receiving teams 
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment 
• Other duties as assigned


WHAT you need to possess.

• 1–3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling preferred 
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory tracking systems 
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify part numbers and quantities 
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks 
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying materials 
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team


Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods standing and walking 
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials 
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
