Logistics Coordinator (Track & Trace After-hours)

Track & Trace Coordinator – Overnight (6 PM – 6 AM) Seven Star is hiring a Track & Trace Coordinator to cover after-hours monitoring of our company-owned fleet operating out of Stoney Creek, ON. Our trucks run around the clock, and this role keeps the operation moving overnight. You’ll be one of the main contacts for our drivers on the road after the day team signs off. This role suits someone who is calm and organized and likes working on their own. You should be comfortable making quick decisions when a driver needs help at 2 AM. You’ll work directly with our own drivers and equipment. Schedule 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Rotational schedule: 3 shifts one week, 4 shifts the next Weekend shifts are included in the rotation Responsibilities Serve as the after-hours point of contact for drivers: answer calls and respond to TMS messages quickly Track all trucks with our fleet management and GPS tools, and follow up with drivers on their current position and ETAs Help with on-road issues such as breakdowns, delays, and shipper or receiver problems, and find solutions in real time Send status updates by email to customers and the internal team, and escalate anything urgent Keep the dispatch boards up to date as loads progress Enter extra charges and status changes in TMS as they happen, including lumpers, waiting time, extra picks/drops, and layovers Collect, scan, and upload driver paperwork into TMS so billing isn’t delayed Do yard checks with drivers and pass inspection results on to the maintenance team and planners Watch for hours-of-service and safety alerts and flag compliance concerns Take the handover from the day dispatch teams and send a complete, accurate handover to the next shift Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in dispatch, track & trace, or transportation coordination Familiarity with TMS, ELD, or fleet tracking software. Working knowledge of Ontario and cross-border trucking rules (MTO, HOS) is an asset Clear communicator, comfortable with drivers and customers by phone and email Calm under pressure and able to solve problems without supervision overnight Reliable and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through. Nothing gets left for the next shift without a clear handover. Available to work nights, including weekends, on rotation Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 80.0 per week Benefits: On-site parking Work Location: In person
