Logistics Coordinator/Route Representative

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator/Route Representative to join our team. This role involves managing daily sales routes, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring the efficient delivery of products to our customers. Your prior experience in transportation planning, logistics management, and customer service will drive efficiency and reliability across our network. Duties Assist with route management and vehicle dispatching using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries. Coordinate delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, analyze route efficiency, and make real-time adjustments as needed. Maintain accurate data entry in logistics databases, ensuring all shipment details are current, precise, and accurate. Communicate effectively via internal communication channels to relay instructions, resolve issues, and update stakeholders. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally through phone call management and phone etiquette while maintaining organizational workflow. May be assigned tasks from other departments, including Operations and Purchasing. Experience Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience in logistics coordination or transportation planning within a warehouse/distribution environment. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics management, economics, or a business-related field is strongly preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required. Familiarity with road transportation operations, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with agriculture and farming, and knowledge of produce and foodservice, is recommended. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems. Strong numerical and analytical skills for evaluating sales data and inventory. Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office. Expert-level Excel knowledge is a strong plus. Organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure. Excellent analysis skills for route optimization and problem-solving in a fast-paced setting. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to freight transport, driver hours of service, and safety compliance.
