Logistics Coordinator

Build and own logistics at Planture US. Planture is looking for a hands-on Logistics Coordinator to take ownership of logistics for our US office. You’ll be the first person in this role, with the opportunity to shape how the function works and build a strong domestic logistics network as our business grows and have close connections with our HQ office in Amsterdam. This is a role for someone who enjoys keeping shipments moving, staying on top of contracts and schedules, and stepping in when plans change. Logistics can be unpredictable, so you’ll need to be comfortable solving problems quickly while keeping customers and colleagues informed. What you’ll do Coordinate imports through our customer broker, including customs clearance, drayage and delivery to external warehouses. Coordinate outbound shipments from our warehouses to customers. Organize, monitor and administratively process import orders. Track delivery schedules, transport status and logistics positions, and act quickly when something is delayed or at risk. Manage logistics contracts and service agreements, keeping terms, rates and performance under review. Stay in regular contact with brokers, carriers, warehouses, logistics department in Amsterdam and other logistics partners. Request, compare and negotiate transportation rates and service agreements. Act as the link between logistics partners, customers and Planture’s commercial team. Help the commercial team provide customers with clear, timely updates and practical solutions. Identify bottlenecks and improve logistics processes and systems. Build and develop Planture’s network of domestic logistics partners. What we’re looking for You’re an independent and organized logistics professional who takes ownership and enjoys making things work. You can keep track of the details while also seeing where a process can be improved. When a shipment runs into trouble, you stay calm, communicate clearly and focus on the next steps. You’ll bring: Around two years of relevant logistics experience. Experience with international logistics and order fulfilment. Knowledge of customs clearance and import procedures; experience with US imports is a strong advantage. Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail. A structured, accurate and well-organized way of working. Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with customers and external partners. A commercial, solution-focused mindset. The ability to work independently, set priorities and take ownership. Availability to work five days per week.
