Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement of parts, materials, rental equipment, and company assets to support service and installation operations. This role ensures technicians and installers have the right materials and equipment at the right place and time, minimizing downtime and maximizing field productivity. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with Service, Installation, Warehouse, Vendors, and Equipment Rental Providers to manage daily deliveries, pickups, and equipment logistics. Key Responsibilities Parts & Material Logistics Coordinate daily pickup and delivery of overhead door, loading dock parts and materials. Ensure technicians and installation crews receive required parts and equipment before scheduled work begins. Arrange emergency and same-day parts deliveries for urgent service calls. Verify all materials delivered to job sites are complete and match work order requirements. Coordinate vendor pickups and returns for special-order parts and warranty items. Maintain accurate records of delivered, transferred, and returned materials. Equipment Coordination Schedule, track, and coordinate deliveries and pickups of company assets and rented equipment, including: Scissor lifts, Boom lifts, Forklifts, Material handling equipment Work directly with rental suppliers to ensure equipment arrives on time and is removed promptly upon completion. Monitor rental periods and coordinate timely off-rent requests to control costs. Track equipment locations and utilization across active job sites. Service & Installation Support Collaborate with Service Coordinators and Installation Coordinators to support daily scheduling requirements. Coordinate movement of materials between warehouse locations, technicians, and job sites. Support emergency service requests through rapid deployment of parts and equipment. Fleet & Transportation Management Coordinate company vehicle usage and transportation resources. Plan efficient routes for deliveries and equipment transfers. Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for operational improvements. Maintain documentation related to deliveries, equipment transfers, and transportation activities. Vendor & Supplier Management Develop strong relationships with equipment rental suppliers, carriers, and manufacturers. Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments. Monitor vendor performance related to delivery timelines and service quality. Escalate and resolve delivery delays or supply chain disruptions. Qualifications Experience 2-5 years of experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation, equipment coordination, or field service support. Experience in the overhead door, construction, industrial service, building maintenance, or material handling industries preferred. Experience coordinating rental equipment and construction job site deliveries is highly desirable. Skills Strong organizational and scheduling abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple urgent requests in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and service management software. Knowledge of construction equipment and job site requirements.
