Job Summary: The Logistics Coordinator expedites and routes movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments in airline, train, and trucking terminals and shipping docks. Takes orders from customer support team and arranges pickup of freight and cargo for delivery to loading platforms. Prepare and examine bills of landing to determine accuracy of shipping charges and tariffs. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5:30pm Pay Range : $19-$22/hour Duties/Responsibilities: Track shipment progress and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely arrivals. Notify appropriate parties of incoming freight and coordinate delivery arrangements. Schedule receiving appointments for inbound shipments. Arrange container pickups and transfers of products between storage facilities. Determine appropriate shipping methods and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other required shipping documentation. Communicate shipment and delivery updates to relevant departments using established communication channels. Maintain accurate records of goods shipped, received, and stored. Enter and update shipping, receiving, and inventory information in the computer system. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of shipping, transportation methods, logistics costs, and applicable laws and customs procedures. Proficiency in English, business communication, and administrative procedures, including recordkeeping and document management. Strong verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions. Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and cost-benefit analysis skills. Effective time management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Negotiation and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment Education and Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Minimum of 1 years of logistics activities experience is highly preferred. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound. Vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work. Environment: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
