At Northwest Hardwoods (NWH) , you’ll play an important role in keeping our global supply chain moving. As a Log Loader Operator , you will work closely with the manufacturing team to keep lumber moving through the facility, ensure products are properly handled and organized, and help maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment. Requirements: What You’ll Do: Assist in the receipt, purchase, storage, transfer and sale of logs Safely and efficiently operate a rubber tired front end loader with forks and log clamp and other designated materials Properly handle, move, and store logs in inventory and in prepared loads Follow established procedures to document and track the receipt, movement, and transfer of logs Take part in the receiving, purchasing, storing, loading, and shipping processes Perform pre-operational inspections and report equipment issues promptly Other duties as required, will include some chainsaw operation and administrative duties Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations What You Bring: We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable, safety-minded, and enjoys hands-on, physically active work. Required: Must be 18 years of age Available to work Monday – Friday with occasional weekends Follow all safe driving rules and maintain awareness of ground conditions and surroundings. Ability to operate heavy equipment for at least 8 hours daily Preferred: Previous experience in operating a knuckle boom loader Ability to occasionally lift and move 50 pounds or more Ability to competently and safely operate a chainsaw Knowledge and experience in identifying and recognizing tree species of the Eastern US Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions Ability and desire to wear personal protective equipment at all times and follow established safety procedures Cognitive ability to interpret and follow establish administrative procedures Experience in log scaling and grading preferred You’ll Thrive Here If You Are: A strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude Enjoys a hands-on, physically active role and staying on the move throughout the day Ability to safely lift, move, stack, and handle lumber and other materials Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures Dependable and reliable, with a strong attendance record Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and experienced team members What We Offer: Northwest Hardwoods provides a competitive benefits package that includes: Competitive salary Bonus opportunity based on company p…
