Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient movement of goods into and out of our facility, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance throughout the process. Your expertise will help maintain seamless warehouse operations, support inventory management, and uphold high standards of customer service. Duties Receive incoming shipments by verifying delivery documentation and inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to shipping standards Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers to load and unload freight safely and efficiently Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or similar software Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure data accuracy Coordinate with logistics providers to arrange shipping schedules, track shipments, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards Perform data entry tasks related to shipment documentation, order processing, and inventory updates using Microsoft Office tools and inventory management software Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with a focus on shipping & receiving operations Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes, inventory management software, and ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP systems Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred) Strong understanding of shipping logistics, order fulfillment procedures, and packaging standards Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating weights or quantities accurately Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance requirements is a plus Join us as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to be part of a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact our success!
