Local Truck Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards Plan and execute route driving using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries within local areas Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, handling logistics cargo with care to prevent damage Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations Manage delivery documentation accurately, including bills of lading, logs, and delivery receipts Maintain communication with dispatch teams regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving within local areas Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for Hazmat and tanker operations preferred Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual handling tasks safely Strong navigation skills using GPS systems to optimize routes efficiently Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance Join us as a Local Truck Driver where your skills drive our success!
