Local Shuttle CDL A Driver Reefer Relay Routes

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local shuttle operation based in Westfield, MA. Drivers transport frozen grocery loads between Westfield and relay yards in Milford, CT, or West Haven, CT. This is primarily a drop and hook, no touch shuttle position with daily home time and a consistent Monday - Friday PM schedule. Pay and earnings Average weekly pay: $1,300 - $1,340 Published annualized earnings: about $70,000 $50 daily rate when all scheduled days are worked $19 - $20.50 per non-lift-gate stop $23 - $24.50 per non-NYC stop $30 - $31.50 per NYC borough stop $30 - $31.50 per Boston delivery stop $15 per hour detention pay after the first hour $100 layover pay when applicable Safety bonus opportunities Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off beginning on day one Life insurance Mental health and disability benefits Schedule and home time Monday through Friday PM shift Home daily Operates within approximately a 250-mile radius of Westfield, MA Drivers must have reliable personal transportation to and from work Trucks cannot be taken home during time off What you’ll do Shuttle frozen grocery loads from Westfield, MA, to relay yards in Milford, CT, or West Haven, CT Complete approximately 5 - 10 shuttles per day, depending on the distribution location Complete a minimum of 3 shuttles per day Perform drop and hook work and other no-touch freight moves May perform store transfers, trailer moves, or local backhaul pickups May deliver to supermarkets when assigned, typically with 2 - 3 stops per trailer May unload store deliveries using an electric pallet jack May handle return product at the final stop May pick up a backhaul returning to the distribution center Will not deliver in NYC Equipment Automatic transmission Reefer trailers Slip seat equipment; the account will try to keep drivers in the same truck, but trucks are shared with a driver on the opposite shift No guarantee of receiving the same truck each day Trucks remain at the account facility during time off What we need Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 - 6 months of trucking experience Comfortable with a PM schedule and daily yard reporting Able to provide reliable personal transportation to and from work Comfortable with slip-seat equipment
