Overview Join our dynamic team as a Local/Regional Driver based in Cincinnati, OH, and become a vital part of our logistics network! This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver freight efficiently and safely across local and regional routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As a key player in our transportation operations, you will operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and refrigerated trailers, transporting freight that ranges from general cargo to hazardous materials. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers on local and regional routes within Cincinnati and surrounding areas. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and time management. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Ensure proper documentation for all shipments, including delivery logs, incident reports, and compliance paperwork related to hazardous materials regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain professionalism during delivery driving tasks by adhering to DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, and safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with a focus on route driving within local or regional areas. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for hazmat, tanker, or other specialized loads preferred. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazard communication procedures, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading. Experience handling refrigerated trailers or logistics cargo handling is a plus. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems; ability to plan routes effectively under tight schedules. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually when necessary; good manual handling skills required.
