Local Intermodal CDL A Driver NJ & NYC Area

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal operation based near Jersey City, NJ, and Elizabeth, NJ. Drivers haul intermodal freight throughout the NYC area, Long Island, PA, NY, and CT. This is a steady PM local position with strong activity-based pay, daily home time, and slip-seat equipment. Pay and earnings $0.445 - $0.55 per mile Average weekly pay: $1,500 - $1,800 Annualized earnings: about $86,000 $77 per live load or unload stop $56 per drop-and-hook stop $45 per driver load or unload stop $40 per HazMat load $25 - $35 per hour detention pay NYC Congestion Pay$75 Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off beginning on day one Schedule and home time PM shift, 5 day schedule Weekend wrap Home daily Operates within 250 miles of Jersey City, NJ, and Elizabeth, NJ Delivery area includes Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, PA, NY, and CT Trucks remain at the yard during time off Slip-seat equipment; drivers share trucks What you’ll do Haul intermodal freight to and from rail yards and delivery locations Complete drop-and-hook, live load/unload, and driver load/unload work as assigned Handle HazMat loads when required What we need Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 - 6 months of trucking experience HazMat endorsement within 60 days of being scheduled Comfortable operating in NYC boroughs, Long Island, and surrounding Northeast markets Willing to work a PM schedule Willing to operate slip seat equipment Able to leave the truck at the yard during time off
