Local Delivery Driver (Full-Time)

Job Summary This delivery role involves operating a tractor-trailer to transport and unload products for customers, prioritizing excellent customer service while adhering to safety, DOT regulations, and company policies. The position requires working flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities Deliver products within scheduled routes and communicate any deviations. Unload items manually or with carts, placing them in designated areas, often in all weather conditions. Lift, push, or move weights up to 75-100 pounds frequently, reaching up to 72” for stacking pallets. Perform bending, twisting, and retrieving tasks during loading and unloading. Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, and report discrepancies or errors. Handle cash or checks when required, and process damaged goods and returns. Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks, DOT logs, and vehicle maintenance reports according to regulations. Operate equipment safely, maintain cleanliness, and follow safety protocols. Participate in company meetings and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Preferred: 2 years of local food or beverage delivery experience, including pallet breakdown and hand cart usage. Must be 21+, possess a valid driver’s license, and have at least 1 year of commercial driving experience. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication, safety, and record-keeping. Pass employment testing; internal candidates may complete driver training within 12 weeks if required. Skills & Competencies Operate vehicles safely in various traffic and weather conditions.
