Local CDL Driver – Pickup & Delivery (Hourly Pay) Location: Irving, TX Job Overview We are a growing trucking company looking for a reliable Local CDL Driver to join our team at our Irving, Texas terminal . This is a local pickup and delivery position, so you'll be home daily. Drivers are paid hourly and enjoy steady, year-round work. Responsibilities Perform local pickups and deliveries safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Secure and transport freight according to company and DOT regulations. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and electronic logs. Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations. Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations. Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across local delivery routes, ensuring compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to reach delivery destinations on time while optimizing route driving strategies. Deliver freight to customers’ locations with precision, ensuring proper load securing and adherence to safety standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to maintain truck safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each shipment in accordance with logistics cargo handling protocols. Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route status, delivery updates, or any issues encountered during transit. Requirements Valid CDL Class A driver's license. Minimum +1 year experience Clean driving record. Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening. Good communication and customer service skills. Previous pickup and delivery experience is preferred but not required. Schedule Local routes – Home daily. Full-time position. Weekend work is required. Overtime opportunities may be available.
