Local CDL Driver ( pay 1099) - $30/Hours

Job Summary Join our team as a Local CDL Driver and keep freight moving safely and reliably. You’ll handle local delivery routes, operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers, and support loading and unloading. Some assignments may involve refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, automobile transportation, or over-the-road (OTR) routes. This is a 1099 contractor position. Duties Drive commercial vehicles on local and assigned route-driving and delivery-driving routes; use GPS navigation to follow routes and coordinate deliveries. Transport freight and logistics cargo, including automobile transportation when assigned. Load, unload, and secure cargo using safe manual-handling practices; complete truck loading and unloading tasks. Operate manual-transmission vehicles and assigned equipment, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials regulations for hazmat or dangerous goods. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive freight in good condition and keep supply chains moving. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the assigned vehicle and cargo; demonstrate safe truck driving, commercial driving, and delivery driver experience. Knowledge of commercial truck driving, tractor-trailer operation, driving safety, and route procedures. Ability to perform manual handling and load-and-unload duties safely. Hazmat qualifications are required when transporting hazardous materials; follow all applicable dangerous-goods requirements. Refrigerated trailer, flatbed, tanker, automobile transportation, and OTR experience are useful for applicable assignments. Pay: $30.00 per hour Work Location: In person
