Local CDL A Intermodal driver

Job Overview As a Local CDL A Intermodal Driver, you’ll move freight between intermodal terminals, distribution facilities, and customer locations. You’ll operate a tractor-trailer safely, follow assigned routes, and coordinate cargo handling to keep shipments moving reliably. This role focuses on local driving, with Reginal routes possible as business needs require. **** TWIC CARD REQUIRED*** Duties Drive commercial trucks on local routes, using GPS navigation and route information to complete pickups and deliveries. Transport freight, including containers and, when assigned, automobile transportation; inspect equipment and secure loads before travel. Load and unload cargo or coordinate truck loading and unloading, using safe manual handling practices and approved equipment. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, including applicable hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements. Qualifications Required: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) and safe commercial truck driving experience, including tractor-trailer operation and manual transmission. Required: Knowledge of truck driving, delivery driving, delivery driver experience, freight handling, and route driving. Preferred: Experience with intermodal logistics cargo handling, refrigerated trailers, flatbed or tanker equipment, and automobile transportation. Preferred: Hazmat (hazardous materials) experience or familiarity with hazardous materials regulations; ability to handle varied freight and equipment safely.
