Our company recycles cardboard (including corrugated cardboard), office paper, and other materials at our recycling center. Local Class A CDL Driver AND Local CDL A Flatbed/Moffett Driver Looking for Class A CDL Drivers who are energetic, personable and safe to work for Royal Oak Recycling, one of the largest independent recycling companies in the Midwest You should enjoy meeting people and be familiar with area nuances, such as back roads and traffic patterns. You must have consistent and reliable attendance and practice Safety First, Last and Always! Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Operates vehicle in accordance with Royal Oak Recycling, OSHA and DOT requirements, while following all local, state and federal laws. Perform complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicle in accordance with company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues immediately and continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is always operationally ready. Safely operate vehicle along designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor. Attend and actively participate in all training programs and safety meetings. Operate automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures. Lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility. Courteously interact with all customers and dispatchers daily, to ensure all routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner. Complete required route productivity sheets, logs and reports. Maintain adherence to required productivity standards/quotas, ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner. Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness. Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner. Good follow through ability; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise. Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of prior experience as a CDL A driver Able to operate a forklift or Moffett MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: One year of prior experience driving commercial trucks as a CDL A driver or equivalent military experience. You MUST be able to travel interstate routes Class A Commercial Driver’s License Acceptable driving record. Legally eligible to work in the United States Valid DOT Medical Card/ Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen.
