Licensed U.S. Customs Broker Office Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensed U.S. Customs Broker Office Manager to lead our customs brokerage operations. In this vital role, you will oversee daily office functions, ensure compliance with all U.S. Customs regulations, and manage a team dedicated to facilitating seamless import and export processes. Your expertise in logistics, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance will drive efficiency, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest standards of safety and legal adherence. Duties Manage all aspects of customs brokerage operations, including customs clearance management and ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs regulations and international trade laws. Supervise and mentor a team of customs specialists, providing guidance on regulatory compliance management, export management, and trade compliance procedures. Oversee the preparation and review of regulatory reports, import/export documentation, and compliance records using advanced Excel data analysis and global trade management software. Ensure logistics compliance by coordinating with freight carriers, supply chain partners, and transportation safety regulators such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDA regulations, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) restrictions, and other relevant international trade regulations to prevent violations. Conduct risk assessments related to customs clearance processes, export controls, and regulatory reporting requirements; implement corrective actions as necessary. Facilitate ongoing training for staff on customs brokerage management systems, technical proficiency in trade software applications, and safety protocols. Qualifications Valid license as a U.S. Customs Broker with comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations compliance and international trade laws. Proven experience managing customs brokerage operations within a logistics or supply chain environment. Strong understanding of OSHA standards, transportation safety regulations, FDA regulations, OFAC restrictions, and export/import management procedures. Proficiency in Excel data analysis tools, global trade management software platforms, and report writing for regulatory documentation. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising teams focused on regulatory compliance management and risk mitigation.
