POSITION SUMMARY Owns the day-to-day maintenance of the integrated production schedules in Oracle Primavera P6 for all active hulls and serves as the yard’s P6 subject-matter expert. Statuses the schedules weekly from project management and production input; maintains logic, durations, resource loading and baselines; publishes 4-week and 8-week look-aheads; coordinates material need dates with Supply Chain and Engineering against the material buy schedules; identifies schedule variances and builds recovery plans with the project leads; and provides the schedule inputs that feed weekly project status reporting and workforce planning. Works directly with project managers, production supervision, engineering, supply chain and quality assurance to keep the schedules current, credible and driving the work. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are as follows: P6 schedules for all active hulls statused and published on the weekly cycle 95% of the time; 4-week and 8-week look-aheads issued on time 95% of the time; material and OFE need dates in the schedule aligned with the current buy schedules 95% of the time; a recovery plan issued for 95% of identified schedule variances; schedule coding, resources and baselines maintained to the yard’s standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential Functions Statement(s) Maintain the integrated master schedules in Primavera P6 for all active hulls – WBS/SWBS structure, logic, durations, calendars, resource loading and baselines. Collect weekly progress from project managers and production supervision, status the schedules, advance the data date, and publish updated schedules and Level 1 / Level 3 outputs for internal and customer use. Maintain schedule baselines and report schedule variance against baseline and contract milestones. Publish 4-week and 8-week look-aheads by hull and by trade for production, supply chain and engineering. Coordinate material and owner-furnished equipment need dates in the schedule with Supply Chain and Engineering against the material buy schedules; flag items that cannot make their need date. Support the weekly cross-functional planning meeting: maintain the needs register, tie each need to a schedule driver (activity, milestone or contract date) and track it to closure. Load and level craft hours by trade using P6 resource curves; produce resource histograms and workforce demand for hiring and subcontract planning. Identify schedule slips as they develop; build and maintain recovery plan schedules with the project leads, including what-if and pull-left scenarios. Provide weekly P6 exports and schedule health inputs for project status reporting and earned value analysis. Maintain Activity ID and coding standards so P6 activities align with ERP and timekeeping charge codes. Serve as the yard’s P6 subject-matter expert; provide technical guidance and P6 support to planning staff and project managers. Support proposal and new-program schedule development – build Level 1 schedules, milestone and long-lead material timelines, and resource profiles for bids and program start-up.
