Lead Railcar Receiver

YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY: Provide ongoing performance feedback, mentor direct reports, and manage team performance by identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Lead, motivate, and support employees to foster a high level of trust, accountability, and positive employee relations through open communication. Ensure adherence to all Plant Safety policies, PPE requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); hold team members accountable to the same standards. Plan, coordinate, and monitor railcar unloading operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and accuracy. Operate and oversee equipment used to transfer liquid and dry materials from railcars to storage tanks or silos. Verify railcar placement, identification numbers, and inspect for cleanliness, leaks, damage, and compliance with loading/unloading procedures. Monitor product movement, including flow rates, volumes, temperatures, and tank levels using gauges, meters, and related equipment. Start and regulate pumps, valves, and related systems to control product flow according to established procedures. Complete required documentation and record operating data such as quantities, gauge readings, and operating times. Coordinate and execute periodic cleaning and sanitation activities within the rail area. Ensure team members are properly cross trained to maximize operational efficiency and workforce flexibility.
