Lead Interior Designer – Luxury Residential
WeForge Consulting Services IncAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead Interior Designer with a strong background in luxury residential design who can independently drive projects from design development through procurement, installation, and final styling. This is a highly hands-on, client-facing position for a designer who combines a sophisticated design eye with strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to take ownership of projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead major components of luxury residential interior design projects. Develop design concepts, finish selections, furnishings packages, and construction selections. Select and source furniture, fabrics, lighting, plumbing, tile, stone, art, accessories, and custom pieces. Lead client meetings, presentations, site visits, and project reviews. Communicate directly with clients, vendors, contractors, fabricators, and trades. Review floor plans, elevations, lighting plans, electrical plans, and construction details. Verify dimensions, specifications, pricing, quantities, lead times, and product availability. Prepare accurate proposals, specifications, selections, and project documentation. Track project budgets, timelines, deliverables, and client expectations. Identify problems proactively and independently determine next steps. Coordinate projects through procurement, installation, and final styling. Maintain accurate project documentation and records. Required Qualifications: 5–8+ years of professional interior design experience. Strong luxury/high-end residential design experience. Experience managing projects with significant ownership and independence. Strong knowledge of space planning, materials, furnishings, specifications, pricing, budgets, and timelines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong client-facing and presentation skills. Ability to confidently make design recommendations and communicate with discerning clients. Strong understanding of the complete residential design process from construction detailing through installation and styling. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, vendors, and priorities. Strong problem-solving skills and follow-through. AutoCAD experience required. 2D/3D rendering experience preferred. Houzz Pro or similar design/project-management software experience preferred. The role is structured around a strong work-life balance, with a 35.5-hour weekly schedule while compensation is structured competitively for a full-time position.
