What You'll Do: 

Leave Administration

  • Lead all aspects of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Short-Term Disability (STD), and related leave programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders regarding leave administration.
  • Manage leave documentation, certifications, tracking, communications, and return-to-work processes.
  • Monitor employee leave activity and proactively identify potential compliance concerns.
  • Coordinate interactive process discussions related to ADA accommodations in partnership with the HR People Operations Manager.
  • Perform extensive computer work, including entering data in HR systems and preparing letters, reports, and miscellaneous documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Compliance

  • Review and audit work of HR Operations Coordinator to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of employee files, onboarding, terminations, changes, I-9 records, and job descriptions. 
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving policy violations, employee complaints, and employee relations concerns under the direction of the HR People Operations Manager. Prepare summaries, findings, and recommendations for review by the HR People Operations Manager. Assist with corrective action documentation and follow-up activities.
  • Analyze trends related to leave administration, compliance, investigations, and operational activities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.
  • Provide guidance to employees and peers on standard HR processes and self-service tools.
  • Performs tracking to ensure company compliance with requirements under FLSA, ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc and reporting obligations, such as EEO-1, Vets-100, AAP filings.
  • Assists in preparing files EEO-1, Vets-100 and any other EEOC/OFCCP reports.
  • Ensure proper record retention, document management, and file maintenance practices comply with regulatory and company standards.
  • Maintain working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Keep abreast of HR guidelines, processes and procedures, and policies
  • Assist with special projects and other HR initiatives as assigned


What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

  • An Associate’s degree in a related business field with four to six (4-6) years of work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, STD, EEO and employment law requirements.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, compliance, or a related field 
  • Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in HR.
  • Relevant, formal training in applied office technology and/or human resource management, HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry skills and be able to produce accurate work within regular deadlines.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
