What You'll Do: 

HR Operations and Employee Support

  • Coordinate and maintain data entry of all new hires, termination, transfers, promotions, and other employee changes, in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while working closely with the HR team to ensure compliance.
  • Verify documentation for authorization to work in the United States; authenticate I-9 paperwork and work with the HR team regarding any discrepancies.
  • Process and manage background checks and ensure compliance and consistency, working with the HR People Operations Manager and Operations for any discrepancies.
  • Provide day-to-day support, including data entry, coordinating meetings, gathering documentation, preparing summaries, and maintaining organized files and general requests.
  • Creates paper and electronic employment files.
  • Data entry and organization of the employee tracker log and updates.
  • Assist with employee Performance Management (PM) tracking and PM review cycles.

Compliance

  • Completes Unemployment claims/disputes and verbal/written employment verifications.
  • Provide administrative support for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Short-Term Disability (STD), and related leave processes, including documentation, and tracking.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and data as needed for audits, leadership requests, and compliance initiatives.
  • Minimize data entry errors by performing scheduled data audits (daily/weekly/monthly) and reconciling discrepancies. 
  • Help resolve issues in HR systems by working with the HRIS Administrator and other team members; escalate issues. Help identify system improvements or risks impacting compliance.
  • Responsible for password resets and employee self-service access and basic self-service questions.
  • Partner with HR Operations leadership to support investigations, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Ensure record retention and destruction practices comply with regulatory and company standards.
  • Keep abreast of employment law and HR regulations, HR guidelines, processes and procedures, and policies. 


What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

  • An Associate’s degree in a related business field with two to four (2-4) years of work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce accurate work within regular deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

  • Degree in human resources, business, compliance, or a related field 
  • Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in HR.
  • Relevant, formal training in applied office technology and/or human resource management, HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry skills and be able to produce accurate work within regular deadlines.

 Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
