LCL Import Clerk Agent

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Import LCL Agent to join our team and support our growing import operations. Position Overview: The Ocean Import LCL Agent will be responsible for handling Less-than-Container Load (LCL) ocean freight shipments from origin to final delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of import documentation and procedures, and effective communication with carriers, vendors, and customers. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage all aspects of ocean import LCL shipments from booking through final delivery. Review and process import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs entries. Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, and trucking companies to ensure timely cargo movement. Track shipments, update customers, and resolve any issues related to delays, documentation, or cargo discrepancies. Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and other regulatory requirements. Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, providing shipment updates, and resolving concerns. Maintain accurate records in the company’s TMS/ERP system. Support accounting with billing, invoicing, and payment follow-up related to shipments. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean freight forwarding, specifically handling LCL imports . Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, ISF filing, and import compliance. Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency with freight forwarding software, MS Office Suite, and shipment tracking tools. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Team-oriented with a strong sense of accountability. What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience.
