Landscape Design Assistant

We are an exterior design firm with an immediate opening for an entry-level Landscape Design Assistant to help manage existing and upcoming projects, largely located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. This is a hybrid position with working hours split between home, office, and in-field. In-city work at existing and prospective client properties is required, therefore access to a vehicle for reliable transportation is also required as we service projects throughout the bay. Starting pay based on experience. Some training will be provided, but we'd love to bring someone to our team who can jump right in with a self-starter mindset and can-do attitude. Job requirements: Experience in and ability to take precise measurements and property photos to conduct a site assessment at projects sites is essential Office work, e.g. printing and print delivery, organizing delivered packages, running errands On-site layout of plants and/or design elements for landscape installations, or check-ins for progress updates Ability to source project materials and high-end design elements, which may require visits to showrooms and the SFDC or local landscape supply company or wholesale plant suppliers Ability to follow schedules and deadline commitments Strong organizational skills Ability to organize and keep track of client samples, help organize sample library Creative problem solving Excellent communication skills, both orally and written Ability to work with multiple clients and on multiple projects simultaneously Plant and design element procurement Knowledge of landscaping and common landscaping plants a plus Familiarity with hardscaping materials a plus Must be located in the Bay Area while under our employ and able to navigate in/around the city Personal vehicle required; ability to drive 50+ miles in a day for site visits, as needed (with mileage reimbursement) Education and experience: Accredited Degree in landscape architecture, interior or exterior design, project management, or similar field 1+ year professional experience in exterior and/or landscape design Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD is a must! HouzzPro experience is a plus! SketchUp experience preferred, but not required Lumion experience preferred, but not required Please include your portfolio when applying; we'd love to see your exterior CAD work!
