ConfidentialJunior Assistant Manager Overview We are seeking a Junior Assistant Manager to support daily retail store operations and assist store management with staff coordination, customer service, sales activities, inventory, and administrative functions. The Junior Assistant Manager will assist with supervising store activities, coordinating employees, maintaining operational procedures, and supporting sales and customer service objectives. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with supervising daily store operations and coordinating routine activities. Support recruiting activities, including candidate interviews, employee onboarding, and related documentation. Assist with payroll processing, cash handling, bookkeeping, and other administrative financial tasks. Support merchandising activities, including product presentation, pricing updates, and inventory purchasing. Operate and assist with POS systems for sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and sales reporting. Supervise cashiering activities and ensure employees follow established cash-handling, customer service, and operational procedures. Assist with employee training and development related to product knowledge, sales procedures, customer service, and store operations. Coordinate in-store marketing activities, product promotions, and promotional materials. Assist with budgeting activities, expense tracking, and monitoring sales performance against established targets. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and replenishment activities. Help ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, cash-handling, and store operating procedures. Provide customer service and assist with customer inquiries, transactions, and routine issue resolution. Communicate store information and operational updates to employees and management. Maintain accurate records related to sales, inventory, payroll, cash handling, and store administration. Qualifications and Skills Previous experience in retail sales, retail operations, team supervision, or store management. Experience assisting with employee recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, or training. Familiarity with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and basic financial administration. Knowledge of retail pricing, merchandising, inventory management, and purchasing procedures. Experience using POS systems and cash register equipment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple store activities. Customer service experience and professional telephone communication skills. Familiarity with retail marketing, promotions, or merchandising activities. Basic mathematical skills for cash handling, pricing, budgeting, and sales reporting. Experience coordinating employees or supporting day-to-day store operations. Ability to follow established company, safety, cash-handling, and operational procedures. Additional language skills are an asset where relevant to customer and business needs. Position Summary The Junior Assistant Manager supports store management with daily operations, employee coordination, customer service, sales activities, inventory, merchandising, payroll-related administration, and store reporting. The role combines retail supervision with operational and administrative responsibilities and provides support to store management in maintaining established procedures and business objectives.
