Junior Accountant
ConfidentialJob Overview MJS Food Company Corp., a growing international food and beverage wholesale and distribution company based in Doral, Florida, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. The Junior Accountant will support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, transaction recording, financial documentation, and general accounting support. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, comfortable working with numbers, and has hands-on experience with QuickBooks. This is an on-site, full-time position and an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow professionally within a dynamic international business. Responsibilities * Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks. * Manage and maintain Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) records. * Prepare and process vendor payments and maintain supporting documentation. * Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. * Review transactions to ensure accurate accounting classifications. * Maintain organized accounting records, invoices, receipts, statements, and supporting documents. * Assist with monthly accounting closing procedures. * Assist with the preparation of financial reports and internal accounting schedules. * Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and investigate discrepancies. * Assist with cash flow tracking and reporting. * Support the preparation of documentation requested by banks, accountants, auditors, and other financial institutions. * Assist with inventory-related accounting and reconciliation when necessary. * Support management with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed. Required Qualifications * Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience. * QuickBooks experience is required. * Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles. * Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. * Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly. * Ability to work independently and follow established accounting procedures. * Must be able to work on-site in Doral, Florida, Monday through Friday. Preferred Qualifications * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. * Experience working with wholesale, distribution, inventory, or import/export companies. * Experience assisting with month-end closing. * Familiarity with financial reporting and cash flow tracking. * Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
