Jewelry Operations & Inventory Specialist Coin Mart Jewelry – Chula Vista, California Starting Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM–6:00 PM About Coin Mart Jewelry Coin Mart Jewelry is a family-owned jewelry store serving the San Diego area since 1959. We buy and sell fine jewelry, diamonds, luxury watches, precious metals, coins, and other valuables. We also provide jewelry repair, custom jewelry, appraisal, and related services. We are looking for an experienced, highly organized Jewelry Operations & Inventory Specialist to handle inventory entry, customer records, purchase transactions, repair intake, product photography, sales processing, and other important administrative functions within our store. This is not an entry-level data-entry position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a jewelry-store environment, handling valuable merchandise, interacting with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining highly accurate records. Primary ResponsibilitiesJewelry Inventory & Data Entry Enter jewelry, watches, diamonds, coins, precious metals, and other merchandise into our inventory system. Create accurate inventory descriptions. Enter weights, measurements, pricing, SKUs, categories, and other product information. Print jewelry tags and ensure tags correspond to the correct merchandise. Review existing inventory records and correct inaccurate or incomplete information. Maintain organized and accurate inventory records. Product Photography Photograph jewelry and other merchandise being purchased or sold. Upload and associate photographs with the correct inventory or transaction. Take clear photographs that properly document the condition and characteristics of merchandise. Maintain organized digital records of product photographs. Customer Database Management Collect complete and accurate customer information. Create new customer profiles. Update existing customer records. Identify duplicate or incomplete records and correct them. Maintain an accurate, organized, and useful customer database. Purchasing & LeadsOnline Write up merchandise purchased from customers. Accurately record customer identification and transaction information. Photograph purchased merchandise when required. Enter purchase transactions into LeadsOnline . Ensure required information is complete and accurate before transactions are finalized. Follow store procedures and applicable reporting requirements. Jewelry Repair Intake Write up jewelry and watch repairs. Accurately describe the item and requested work. Record identifying characteristics and condition. Photograph items when appropriate. Create repair tickets and receipts. Track repairs through the store's system. Help ensure customers receive accurate information regarding their repairs. Sales & Customer Transactions Write up customer sales. Process customer payments. Charge credit/debit cards and properly record other forms of payment. Generate receipts and transaction records. Verify pricing and merchandise information before completing transactions. Assist customers professionally when processing purchases, repairs, pickups, and other transactions. What We Are Looking For We are specifically looking for someone with professional experience in jewelry, luxury retail, inventory management, or a similar detail-oriented retail environment. The ideal candidate is: Extremely accurate and detail-oriented. Highly organized. Comfortable working with computers and learning specialized software. Experienced with inventory or point-of-sale systems. Comfortable handling expensive jewelry, watches, diamonds, precious metals, and customer property. Experienced processing retail transactions and customer payments. Able to accurately enter large amounts of detailed information. Comfortable taking and organizing product photographs.
