CDL-A Local Grocery Driver – Windsor Locks, CT Pay Details & Schedule Average Annual Gross: $90,000 Average Weekly Gross: $1,750 Top 10% of Earners: Up to $100,000 annually CPM $0.50 - $0.52 Per Mile Daily Rate: $85 NYC Borough Stop Pay: $47.50 per stop Liftgate Stop Pay: $30 per stop Customer-Specific Stop Pay: $15 per stop Live Stop Pay: $17.50 per stop Drop & Hook Pay: $17.50 per drop Detention Pay: $15 per hour Holiday Pay: $160 per day Off-Account Work: $160–$450 per day Refused Delivery Pay: $15–$47.50 per occurrence New-Hire Training: $200 per day Trainer Pay: $50–$75 per day Monday–Friday schedule Start time around 3:00 AM Optional 6th day available for additional earnings Home daily; Holiday work required when scheduled and when the account operates Job Details Dedicated local grocery delivery account Deliver dry groceries to supermarkets and distribution centers within approximately 250 miles of Windsor Locks, CT Delivery territory includes NYC boroughs and Long Island, NJ, MA, VT, RI, NH, ME, PA, and parts of upstate NY Daily NYC borough deliveries should be expected Multi-stop loads, typically 2–3 stops per trailer Usually one long load per day, with occasional additional short loads when hours permit Return-product pickups or backhauls to the distribution center 45-, 48-, 51-, and 53-foot trailers; NYC deliveries use liftgate trailers Newer automatic day cabs, generally three years old or newer Slip-seat operation; trucks cannot be taken home Electric pallet jacks used for unloading when needed Uniforms provided Job Requirements Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience Able to unload freight using an electric pallet jack when needed Reliable personal transportation to and from the account Strong customer-service skills Flexibility to support other local accounts as needed Availability to work scheduled holidays when the account operates Clean driving record Valid DOT Medical Card No SAP drivers Benefits PTO accrual starting on day one 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision coverage available after 30 days Mental health, family planning, leave, and disability benefits
