Your role on the team: Strategy and leadership Define and own the Americas IT development roadmap in alignment with business strategy and GEODIS global technology direction Advise executive leadership on technology investments, trade-offs, and risk Lead a pragmatic modernization strategy: decide what to retire, replatform, wrap with APIs, or rebuild, and sequence the work to avoid disrupting live operations Delivery and execution Oversee the full software development lifecycle across WMS, TMS, order management, yard and dock systems, billing, and customer portals Drive delivery of customer onboarding and integrations, including EDI, API, and event-based connectivity with shippers, carriers, marketplaces, and ERPs Mature engineering practices: Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, observability, and release management suited to 24/7 operations Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with minimal operational impact Legacy and modern platform management Maintain reliability and supportability of legacy and mainframe-era applications while reducing technical debt and key-person risk Lead migration to cloud-native, containerized, API-first architectures, including hybrid and phased coexistence models Establish integration patterns (APIs, messaging, EDI translation) that allow old and new systems to interoperate cleanly Guide adoption of data, analytics, and AI/ML capabilities such as visibility, forecasting, slotting, and automation People and organization Lead, mentor, and develop directors, managers, and engineers across multiple teams, including onshore, offshore, and vendor partners Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning, and upskill teams with legacy expertise on modern tooling Own hiring, succession planning, performance management, and org design Architecture, security, and governance Set architectural standards for scalability, resilience, and maintainability, aligned with global architecture governance Partner with Information Security to embed secure development and meet customer, regulatory, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, C-TPAT, customer-specific audits) Own platform reliability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for operations that cannot go down Financial and vendor management Own the development budget, headcount planning, and resource allocation Manage software developers, vendors, system integrators, contractors and licensing Report on KPIs such as delivery velocity, quality, uptime, integration cycle time, and cost efficiency What you need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 12+ years of progressive experience in software development or IT, including 5+ years leading large engineering organizations (multiple teams, 50+ people) Demonstrated experience running a hybrid estate of legacy and modern workloads and leading phased modernization Strong background with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices, APIs, and DevOps practices Experience delivering enterprise systems in a 24/7, operations-critical environment Track record managing budgets, vendors, offshore/onshore models, and cross-functional initiatives Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage executives, operations leaders, and customers What you gain from joining our team: Access wages early with the Rain financial wellness app. Free telemedical access to doctors and therapists through FirstStop Health available first day of employment!
