IT System Design Architect - Supply Chain (36584)

A global logistics company is currently seeking a motivated IT System Design Architect to join their facility in the North Western suburb of Columbus, Ohio area. the architecture and system design of highly scalable distributed systems and enterprise applications.
• Define high-level architecture, component boundaries, data models, integration patterns, and technology strategies.
• Troubleshoot AS/ 400 Systems and analyzed system metrics
• Design systems for high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, security, observability, and performance.
• Evaluate architectural trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, cost, complexity, and time to market.
• Other duties as assigned
IT System Design Architect Requirements Include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Equivalent experience
• Strong understanding and hands on experience with PRG, CL, SQL and other systems
• Ability to work onsite and travel to customer sites (10% traveling)
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
