Veterinary Specialist Partners (VSP)Inventory Specialist Evansville, IN Full-Time, On-Site Brand-New Specialty & Urgent Care Hospital Opening November 2026 Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, plus quarterly bonus program; Reports to: Practice Manager Help Us Build the Inventory Backbone of a Brand-New Veterinary Hospital Veterinary Specialist Partners (VSP) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to help launch our brand-new specialty and urgent care hospital in Evansville, Indiana, opening November 2026. This position is primarily responsible for the management, organization, accuracy, and overall success of hospital inventory . In a veterinary hospital, having the right supplies, medications, surgical materials, and equipment available when they are needed is essential to patient care. The Inventory Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring our doctors, technicians, and support teams have the supplies they need to provide exceptional care—while also helping the hospital control costs, reduce waste, prevent shortages, and maintain compliance. You'll implement and manage VSP's established inventory system at our newest hospital, establish appropriate inventory levels, coordinate purchasing and receiving, maintain accurate records, monitor expiration dates, and work closely with vendors and hospital leadership. In addition to inventory responsibilities, this position will provide secondary support for basic IT needs and facility/equipment coordination . Our Internal Medicine service has cared for the Evansville region since 2018, and we're now expanding into a purpose-built hospital combining that established specialty practice with 7-day-a-week Urgent Care. Why This Role Is Different Inventory is at the center of this position. You'll be responsible for establishing and maintaining the inventory operations that keep a busy specialty and urgent care hospital running. Your work directly impacts patient care, staff efficiency, hospital expenses, and the ability of our clinical team to have the right supplies available at the right time. A proven system, a new hospital. VSP has established inventory processes used across our hospitals. You'll bring those systems to our new Evansville location and help ensure they are implemented accurately and consistently. Your attention to detail matters. Accurate inventory counts, appropriate par levels, timely ordering, proper receiving, expiration-date monitoring, and careful documentation are critical to preventing shortages, overstock, waste, and unnecessary expense. Technology and facilities are secondary—but important. You'll also provide basic IT support and coordinate facility and equipment needs, helping ensure the hospital's technology and physical environment remain functional and well maintained. A true partner role. You'll work closely with the Practice Manager and Director of Clinical and Business Operations and will have visibility across the hospital's operations.
